Student Health
Like most facets of a Notre Dame education, student health is dedicated to both the individual health of all students and the collective well-being of the entire campus community.
To accomplish this important work, the area of Student Health and Wellness within the Division of Student Affairs works collaboratively to coordinate services to best meet students’ needs, no matter where they first seek care. Centers, offices, and initiatives that are a part of Student Health and Wellness include the Center for Student Support and Care, the McDonald Center for Student Well-Being, the University Counseling Center, and University Health Services.

Center for Student Support and Care
The Center for Student Support and Care connects students to support services and provides equal access and opportunities to those in need of accommodations. Through Care and Wellness Consultants and Sara Bea Accessibility Services, the center supports and advocates on behalf of students to ensure academic and social success both in and outside of the classroom.
McDonald Center for Student Well-Being
The McDonald Center for Student Well-Being enhances student flourishing and embeds holistic well-being into every aspect of student life. Through health promotion, harm reduction, prevention education, and the cultivation of student leaders in well-being, the McDonald Center empowers all students to make healthy choices while inspiring a campus community to create a culture of well-being.
University Counseling Center
The University Counseling Center (UCC) provides a safe, confidential, nonjudgmental space where students can explore a wide variety of issues and concerns. Services include crisis intervention, drop-in services, workshops, group and individual counseling, psychiatric care for medication management, and referrals to off-campus treatment providers. All UCC services are free to degree-seeking students.
University Health Services
University Health Services (UHS) is made up of a multidisciplinary team of providers, patient advocates, and professional caregivers who provide patient-centered, confidential health care to meet the needs of Notre Dame students. Students can make an appointment to be seen at UHS by either calling or scheduling online through the patient portal. UHS does not take walk-ins.
