Erin Hoffmann Harding began her tenure as Vice President for Student Affairs in August 2012. As Vice President for Student Affairs, Ms. Hoffmann Harding oversees six areas comprised of multiple departments related to health and wellness, residential life, student development, career and professional development, campus ministry, and student services.
Ms. Hoffmann Harding previously served as associate vice president for strategic planning and special projects for the Office of Strategic Planning and Institutional Research. Under her leadership, the Office of Strategic Planning merged with the University’s institutional research function to form the new office, which now encompass external reporting to the U.S. Department of Education and rankings agencies, comparative analysis of peer institutions, the development and reporting of internal and national constituent surveys, and the administration of the University’s course instructor feedback system.
Prior to coming to Notre Dame in 2005, Ms. Hoffmann Harding served as a management consultant in the Chicago and Cleveland offices of the international consulting firm McKinsey and Company Inc. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and earned her juris doctor degree magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
She and her husband, Ryan, also a Notre Dame graduate and an attorney, are the parents of three young sons.
