PAMnet is a listserv discussion group for librarians/information specialists working in the areas of physics, astronomy and mathematics. It was originally set up for the members of the PAM Division of SLA, but membership in SLA/PAM is not a requirement for subscribing to PAMnet. There is no charge for PAMnet.
To subscribe all new members must send an e-mail message to the new list owner, David Stern, requesting your name to be added to PAMnet.
To post messages on SLA-PAM, send mail to
slapam-l@yalevm.cis.yale.edu
exactly as if you were sending a message to a person. The listserv then automatically distributes your message to everyone on the PAMnet list.
Your local REPLY option can be used to send messages to the entire group. Your local FORWARD option should be used if you intend to send a response only to the originator of a message. Contact the list owner by e-mail for information on how to handle vacation mail.
