The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame defeated #3 ranked Stanford in a 2-0 game. All-American Holly Manthei started the Irish scoring early in the first half by blowing by the defender and blasting one by Stanford's Goaltender. Freshman Shannon Boxx scored later on in the first half to put the Irish up 2-0. The game also saw the return of Junior Co-Captain Cindy Daws.
