Asheley Scharff is a Senior and three year starter at the sweeper position for the Irish. She is from Danville, California and is a graduate of San Ramon Valley H.S. Ashely impacts the Irish game whenever she enters the game by controlling the tempo. As a Junior Ashley sprained her ankle in the 5-0 blow-out of Indiana and missed the next five games. She scored her only point of the season by assisting on the first goal of the William and Mary game.
As a Sophomore, she was named to the MCC second team and was an integral part to the Irish's school record of 13 shutouts. Ashley was the anchor to the Irish defense which held opponents to six goals or less in ten games. During her freshman year Ashley started 19 games at sweeper.
