The Counseling Center Village: This web site was originally created and introduced at the 1997 ACPA Convention in Chicago by David L. Gilles-Thomas and Wendy Settle. Since that time the Counseling Center Village has become a useful resource for counseling center professionals around the world, with over 76,333 hits this past year. Colleagues separated by many miles are easily able to share their resources and expertise. Brochures, policy and procedure manuals, practice resources, intake forms, workshop outlines, and more, no longer gather dust in our offices or need to be recreated again somewhere else. The Counselng Center Village is currently maintained by David Gilles Thomas (SUNY-Buffalo) along with Wendy Settle and a board of professionals who coordinate the different sections of the Village. Want to get involved? See the current State of the Village.
Practice Resources: The Counseling Center Village's Practice Resources web page contains links to counseling center practice resources in assessment, counseling/therapy, professional organizations, ethics, psychopharmacology, journals/publications, listservs, online counseling, reference, supervision, and therapy humor.
