MEMBERSHIP
All faculty and staff at the University of Notre
Dame,
Saint Mary's College, and Holy Cross College are eligible for
membership
and are classified as Regular Members. Regular members
who
retire and widows/widowers retain this membership status.
Also
eligible are the following categories of membership: Honorary,
Alumni/Alumnae,
University Affiliate Services, Associate, Societies, and Short Term
Summer
School. Call the University Club office (574) 631 HOST to learn
about
your own eligibility for membership.
The total membership in the University Club, as
of
May, 2004 was 11,421, including 8,286 Sorin Society members. The
majority of Sorin Society members live away from the Notre Dame - South
Bend area and generally use the Club only on football weekends.

Membership Privileges
Use of the club is confined to
members
and their guests. Rooms may be reserved by a club member for personal,
professional, or departmental use. A very capable staff is available to
assist you in your plans from space needs to catering, flowers, music,
room setups, etc. As a member of the Association of Faculty Clubs,
International,
members of the club may enjoy reciprocal privileges with many faculty
clubs
throughout the U.S, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, and Israel.
