In most apartment complexes, it is rare that
you know your neighbors, have community picnics, and swap babysitting.
At the Village these things happen every day, and are only
a small part of all that makes up our vibrant and diverse community.
It is common for neighbors to provide new parents with meals to
help ease the transition to parenthood,we gather twice a year to spruce up the
grounds, and residents swap homegrown vegetables harvested from
the community gardens. And this is only a sample of all that makes up life in the Village.

Although the university has plans for a new family housing complex, at the moment the apartments are admittedly small, and built over 40
years ago. Nevertheless, the Village offers residents a flourishing community life that many look back on as giving them some of the best memories of their lives. Even those who come somewhat disappointed with the size or age of the apartments are quick to say that the community life more than makes up for such things.
Students come from all over the world for graduate, law, and business studies, as well as undergraduate studies. The diverse cultures are represented with ethnic events and parties, and almost all of the staff are themselves residents of the Village.

The community life that makes up the Village, its greatest asset, is of course the most difficult to convey through a website. Nevertheless, we thought prospective residents might enjoy some comments on life here from past residents, as well as a look at some of the special amenities of the Village.
