Notre Dame Tri-Military Command Mission Statement

The mission of the University of Notre Dame Tri-Military Command is to provide
communication between branches and to conduct joint military training exercises
including observance of military ceremonies, community service and spiritual
training rooted in the University’s rich religious tradition, and developing
esprit de corps between and among individual units through healthy
inter-service competition. It is through this training that cadets and
midshipmen are developed morally, mentally, and physically in a joint
environment to commission among the finest military officers in the world.

Welcome to the WWW space of the United States Notre Dame Command, part of the Reserve Officers Training Corps at the University of Notre Dame. For years Notre Dame's Army, Navy, Marine and Air Force ROTC Units have worked closely and participated in many events together. In recent years the relationship has been formalized with the establishment of the US Notre Dame Command. USNDCOM is the first unified command in ROTC in the nation. It provides a structure through which cadets and midshipmen can plan and execute joint efforts. Cadre control of the command rotates annually among the PAS, PMS, and PNS. These three commanders make up the Notre Dame Command Authority. The Commander in Chief or Joint Military Commander of USNDCOM is the cadet/midshipmen position which controls the command. This position also rotates among the services in conjunction with the ND Command Authority. This new organizational framework reflects a continuing commitment to evolving joint relationships.
