South Bend Center for the Homeless
The focus of the Center for the Homeless is on providing not just life-saving, but life-
changing services to each of their guests. Their service offers homeless families and individuals a step-by-
step process to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. The Center's mission is threefold: to break the cycle of
homelessness; to bring together disparate groups so that each can discover the worth, dignity and potential of the
other; and to pioneer a service model worthy of replication.

St. Joseph County
Special Olympics
The mission of St. Joseph County Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports
training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities
by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and
participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and
the community.

Wounded Warrior Project
The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the
needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other,
