Rachel Caron (Click here to e-mail her!)
Floor: 3
Age: 23
Birthday: September 11, 1985
Originally from New England, this Connecticut Yankee is true to her home state's motto: "Qui Transtulit Sustinet" - [S]he who [is] transplanted still sustains. Rachel spent the last five years living in Ohio (four years for undergrad at Franciscan University of Steubenville, where she studied Theology and Catechetics (fancy word for religious education)) and one year serving as Campus Missionary /Coordinator of Religious Education at St. Thomas More University Parish in Bowling Green, Ohio. She is currently a second-year MDiv student, and has no idea what she'll do when she graduates. In the mean time, she is VERY excited to be serving as Assistant Rector in Cavanaugh Hall - the best hall on campus!
In the hall, you might hear Rachel talking to herself (don't mind her -she does it all the time!) or singing in the shower or singing while attempting to play guitar (key word: attempting... If anyone wants to give her lessons, please contact her asap!) Rachel dabbles in musical instruments, but usually doesn't have the patience to stick with one long enough to get really good - in the past, She's attempted to play Violin, Piano, Tuba / Euphonium, Guitar (on and off for a while!) and Native American Flute.
She loves to cook -- and to spend time hanging out with people (She's a huge quality-time fan! That's her love-language, so if you want to make her day, just stop by and visit!) She also loves to play board games like Scrabble, Scotland Yard, Chinese Checkers or Trivial Pursuit.

Hello everyone! My name is Jean Ann Sekerak and I am one of the Assistant Rectors in Cavanaugh this year. I cannot begin to tell you how excited we all are to have you join us! This will be my second year in Cavanaugh as an AR. I am originally from Cleveland, OH, and I went to ND for undergrad as well, majoring in Theology and Philosophy. After graduating, I worked for a couple of years leading immersion trips, mostly to Central America. I love traveling (from random places abroad to random road trips with friends), coffee (not so much a love as it is an addiction), ND football (it's more of a tough love now), Thai food (I can point you to some great places), and, of course, all things Chaos! Currently, I am a third year in the Master of Divinity program. I am here in Cavanaugh to help you in any way I can! Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything you need. Again, we are so excited to have you join our community--and I know you will love it as much as we do! (By the way, I am not the blue one in the picture above.)

Section: 1A
Hey Ladies!
I am Katy Patterson and I will be the RA of 1A next year. I'm
majoring in Theology and Pre-Med, and I am currently spending my
summer in Kalamazoo, MI working at a Hospitality House and in the
Pediatric Unit of Bronson Hospital. I am originally from Lima, OH,
and my favorite dining hall food is the apple crisp with vanilla ice
cream. I love reading a good book, and I also enjoy good
conversations. Some of my favorite memories from Notre Dame are
painting myself green on a football Saturday, dragging blankets to
Debartolo on Friday night for the SUB movies, and competing with
friends in an original (and self-designed) Olympics competition!
I am excited about this coming year, and I can't wait to meet all of
you! 1A is going to rock!
Sunshine and four-leaf clovers,
Katy

Hey—welcome to the greatest dorm on campus!
My name is Sarah Cline, and I’m psyched to be the RA in 1B this year.
I’m from Seattle, and I’m a Theology and Peace Studies double-major. I
love service, impromptu hallway dance parties, supporting my teams,
and spending time with the awesome women of Cavanaugh. I’m involved in
social justice and environmental action on campus as a leader of
Africa Faith & Justice Network and GreeND. I was Cavanaugh’s
Sustainability Commissioner for two years (if you ask around, you can
hear some great stories about how we won the Recyclemania
championship). I’m currently spending my summer in Uganda as an intern
with ND’s Ford Program in Human Development Studies & Solidarity,
working on development projects.
My absolute favorite thing at Notre Dame is Cavanaugh football.
Winning the women’s interhall football championship in the stadium was
probably the greatest experience of my life—Chaos domination! I’d love
to see you on the team this fall!
Feel free to contact me with questions about anything. This is going
to be an amazing year, and I can’t wait to be back home to share my
love of Cavanaugh with all of you!
Peace & chaos,
Sarah

Hey girls --
Welcome to Cavanaugh...the BEST dorm on campus (literally!) I can't wait meet you this year - get ready for some amazing memories, phenomenal friends, and fantastic opportunities! :-)
I'm originally from outside Pittsburgh, PA. This year I will be the RA in 2A! I'm a Biology major and Theology minor...but that wasn't always the route I was planning to take. After I graduate I hope to do a year of service before going to physical therapy school...so I guess I'm pre-health in a way :-D You will soon learn that I LOVE to cook and especially to bake (let me tell you it is a great way to procrastinate which is also something I think I'm pretty good at haha.) I really enjoy photography too...my friends think I take a few too many pictures (like the 1100+ that I took in Italy during a vacation this summer haha.) Also, I long for adventure...from mountain climbing to backpacking to exploring ND at night to various athletics.
I'm involved in a number of activities at school which I would love to tell you more about if you're interested or I'd love to help you find some groups that would suit your interests. I'm involved in Campus Ministry groups like Iron Sharpens Iron, Women of God, and Emmaus and I also participate in Women's Boxing as well as volunteering at a nearby hospital.
Again I look forward to meeting you!!!! Enjoy the rest of the summer and start getting excited!
And if you have any questions feel free to email me anytime (arossi2@nd.edu)!
Ciao,
Angela

Section: 3A
Well hello there! My name is Ezinne Ndukwe and I’ll be the section 3A RA next year. I’m a Science-Business major and was born in the small town of Columbia, Tennessee but spent most of my life growing up in Dublin, Ohio. I’m a little new to the Chaos family as I spent the first two years living in Lewis Hall until I fell in love with Cavanaugh and transferred last year after I spent Fall semester studying abroad in London. On campus I’ve been involved with Interhall sports, the Women’s Boxing Club, and Student Senate. Currently, I’m a campus tour guide as well as a Programmer for Campus Entertainment on the Student Union Board. I love traveling (my picture is with “William Wallace” taken when I took a trip to Edinburgh, Scotland during my time abroad) and recently developed a passion for research (I’m writing this from Nigeria where I’m conducting a research project on the level of health education of Nigerian women). I’m so excited to meet you all and help you absolutely love your first year on campus as much as I did. Welcome to the Notre Dame family and more importantly, welcome to Cavanaugh!

Section: 3B
Hi girls! Let me start off by welcoming you to the Notre Dame community and more importantly, to the best dorm on campus! My name is Jess Mahon, and I'll be the section 3B RA this year. I'm a Psychology and Gender Studies double major, originally from a small town in Northern Nevada. Although I'm loving my summer at home in the mountains, I can't wait to get back to my home under the dome, and of course my Chaos family.
Here on campus I've been involved in both hall government and Student Government, first serving as a commissioner in the dorm and then as Co-President of Cavanaugh Hall last year. I also work as a tour guide for the office of admissions, and do research on marital conflict and communication with the Family Studies Center and the Psychology Department. In my free time I love to bake, goof around on the quad, and watch marathons of Arrested Development and 30 Rock. I'm also involved in a number of service and social justice groups, and would love to help you get involved if you're interested! Last, but certainly not least, I play defensive line for the Cavanaugh Chaos flag football team, which I hope you are all planning on joining in the fall. You can prepare yourselves for the glory that is Chaos football by watching this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7Cz4zsRbdM
Once again, welcome to our Chaos family! I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, and I look forward to meeting all of you. The Notre Dame experience is truly like no other, and I can't wait to share it with you! If you have, any questions at all feel free to e-mail me! See you soon!
