Alan Rickman:
The Voice, in conjunction with the Alan Rickman Addict's Survival Kit (ARASK),
will be presenting a book to Mr. Rickman in person on July 27, 2002.
Mr. Rickman
has stated that he doesn't particularly like to look at pictures of himself,
or read about himself. With that in mind, this scrapbook is
DEDICATED
to him, but it is not ABOUT him. It will be a book about his fans...
to help
him get to know us better.
Things to remember:
1)
Please address your writing as if you were talking to Alan himself (eg.,
"Alan,
you are special to me because..."), otherwise we will reword it to keep
with the
personalized feeling of the book.
2)
Please include a photo if possible. Don't be embarassed, this is
important to
maintain the personal and unique quality of this book. We know
you have lots
of photos of Alan, so it's only fair he has one of you, too!
3) Obviously, nothing that is negative or in bad taste will be included in the book.
4)
No e-mails, phone numbers, or addresses will be included. Only general
locations will be listed. This is to protect the privacy of everyone
involved and
also to prevent Alan from feeling any obligation to respond. We are
not asking
him for anything, only sharing a little piece of ourselves in appreciation
for all
his efforts on our behalf.
