The wall in the foreground is the garage, while those going back towards the upper left corner are the walls under our front porch. In the far background is the outer wall of our living room.

13 September 2003 Foundation Walls

Well, over the last two weeks there wasn't a lot of visual change in the house's progress.
First, the concrete of the foundation walls had to cure, a process which takes about a week. Then a black, protective substance was sprayed on the walls.
Soon after, the dirt was pushed back in around the foundation, and the garage floor was poured. This is the stage shown in these pictures. At left is the view from the road.

The above views are from the garage, looking southeast into the basement. The lower walls in the back corner are to accommodate the windows of the lookout basement.
The photos below are taken from the back of the garage, looking northeast toward the road. Along the front of the building you can see the foundation of the front porch.
