13 August 2003 — Work begins on Lot 31

The first signs of activity!

The row of trees to the east (left in this picture) will remain, although they will be thinned a bit at some point.

20 August 2003 — Staking the Foundation

The lot is now completely cleared, and the corners of our house have been staked.

Look for the little orange posts in the closer picture below.

21 August 2003 — A Nice Big Hole

Okay, it's a bit hard to see, but there is a hole in the ground between the big piles of dirt. Honest!
