15 July 2003 — Design Center Meeting: Choices, Choices

This shows our exterior house colors between those of our next door neighbors.

Here's a closer view of our siding, shutter, and roofing color choices.

This shows the interior house colors we chose for the first floor…

…and here are the second floor colors…

…and here is the way they mix with the tile (Daltile's Village Bend "Mushroom") in the front foyer. The stairs will be carpeted in the lighter color, while the surrounding floor will be covered with the darker carpet.

As you can see, the walls and trim are the same color on both floors — Sherwin William's "Aesthetic White" and "Tony Taupe", respectively. However, we have a darker color carpet for the higher traffic, more public areas downstairs. The darker color carpet is called "Dried Leaves", while the lighter colored Berber is "Knapsack".

These are the colors for the kitchen and "dining nook" area. The floor we chose is a darker walnut stain (see above right), while the cabinetry is a more medium stain (at left). The counter top will be a medium yellow-green stoney or mossy looking laminate (left and above left).

The kitchen and dining area will be open to the living room, which is carpeted in the dark Berber, and to the back entry and bath area, which will be floored with linoleum (below right) — the same linoleum will be used in the baths and laundry room upstairs.
