Regardless of whether you believe Richard murdered his nephews or not, this story of a temporary invalid's desire for something, anything to take his mind away from the hospital room is simply good reading. |

Another book in The Fairy Tale Series, created by Terri Windling, Tam Lin is a retelling of the Scottish ballad of the same name, set on a Minnesota college campus in the early 1970s.
This book was actually the reason I discovered some of the other books on this list — the main character, Janet, is a reader and I liked her enough to become currious about what she liked to read. Click here for some excerpts showing her taste in reading.
