AACE International Competitive scholarships Total cost Management (TCM) is the effective application of professional and technical expertise to plan and control resources, cost, profitability and risk. TCM encompasses technical education within curricula in engineering, construction technology, computer science, business management, and other related disciplines.

Alliance for Catholic Education
deadline December 1
Places and prepares recent college graduates, most of them from Notre Dame, to serve as teachers in under-resourced Catholic schools throughout the Southern United States. ACE currently supports over 120 teachers throughout the diocese of the South. ACE enables many young graduates of Notre Dame to explore their vocation to become teachers.

American Association of Women Scholarship
deadline: January 10, 2000.
Scholarships for women in engineering. Must be a permanent resident or US citizen. See Dean's office for details.

American-Scandinavia Foundation
deadline November 1, 1999
Position of 2-6 months in duration; be a full-time student with a minimum 2.5 G.P.A. Must have completed his/her junior year and have some previous work experience, be an American citizen or U.S. permanent resident between the ages of 21 and 30 and must be able to meet the cost of round-trip fare to Scandinavia. Americo Darin Prize
An endowed scholarship announced in January or February to the most improved Freshmen in the College of Engineering. Recipients selected by the Dean's office during the second semester of their Sophomore year.

GEM Fellowship Programs
deadline December 1
GEM supports minority students in engineering disciplines that include, but are not limited to, aerospace, chemical, computer, computer science, electrical, environmental, industrial, materials, and mechanical.

Governor's Fellowship (Indiana)
deadline February 27 of current year
To attract top college graduates interested in state government careers with preference to Indiana residents.

Hunt Family Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship given to women in engineering. See Dean's office for details.

Indiana Northeast Engineers Week Scholarships
deadline January
Must have graduated from a high school located in certain Indian counties or live in one of the counties for a minimum of one year; must be enrolled in a curriculum leading to Bachelor's Degree in engineering or Engineering Technology; must have earned a minimum of 32 semester credit hours; must be a full-time student carrying at least 12 credit hours.

Indiana Society of Professional Engineers(PE)
deadline May 15
A $750 scholarship is offered by the Indiana Society of Professional Engineers for students who have accrued the minimum of one-half credits or credit hours for an undergraduate engineering degree and are residents of Indiana.

Indiana Space Grant consortium Fellowship
deadline March
The Indiana Space Grant Consortium was established through support of Phase II of NASA's National space Grant College and Fellowship Program. The fellowship is for graduate study and research in an aerospace related field and is limited to U.S. citizens. Both beginning and continuing graduate students are eligible. Women, under represented minorities, or persons with physical handicaps are encouraged to apply.

Ingersoll-Rand Scholarship
deadline Spring
Candidates for this scholarship program must be Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering majors and must complete an application including a brief essay. Special consideration will be given to those students who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing or industrial/construction equipment.

McKnight Doctoral Fellowship Program

National Academy and Nuclear Training Scholarship (NSEP)
deadline February 1, 2000
A specialized scholarship program for students majoring in Engineering or Applied Science and studying abroad in one of the countries specified by the program.

National Hispanic Scholarship (NHSF)
deadline October 3, 1999

National Science Foundation (NSF)

Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education

The major benefits of these fellowships are: monthly stipend, tuition and fees (partial to full payment), practicum dislocation allowance, research assignment at DOE facility or other government agency, travel allowance.

Rotary Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
deadline March
SWE is seeking qualified applicants for fifty-six scholarships varying in amounts. All applicants for SWE Spring Scholarships (Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Graduate Scholarships) are judged by a committee of at least five engineers, not connected with an engineering school, who represent different fields of engineering.

Tau Beta Pi
deadline February
Contact Dean's Office. Scholarship provides one time $2,000 award to students on their senior year of full time engineering study.
