The O'Grady Latin American Literature Lecture Series annually invites a renowned author or literary scholar to present two public lectures at Notre Dame. Hosted by the Program in Iberian and Latin American Studies of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, the Helen Kellogg Institute for International Studies, the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts, and the Hesburgh Library, the series celebrates the literature of the Southern Cone of South America (Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay).

The lecture series is generously funded by Robert (ND '63) and Barry O'Grady.

Please join us in the fall 2002 for the visit of author and journalist, Tomás Eloy Martínez for two lectures: the University Lecture on Thursday 430pm September 19, 2002 in the Hesburgh Center Auditorium, and the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures Lecture on Friday 4:30 p.m. September 20, 2002 in the Department of Special Collections, Hesburgh Library.
