Welcome to the online office of your Student Government!
We're glad you're here because we need your help. This year, your stories and your ideas can change the course of history at Notre Dame.
Our university's leadership is engaged in an unprecedented effort: the project of building a Notre Dame for the 21st Century. And, in order for students to participate fully in this task, we need a streamlined advocacy organization capable of ensuring that students can serve as partners in this unique project in higher education.
Every organization can use some renovations from time to time, and our Student Government is no different. To do that, it's time to go under construction--to build anew.
If our advocacy is going to have real force, we need an organization focused less on Robert's Rules of Order and more on getting the job done.
So, we're working to cut through the red tape with real Constitutional reform, to increase Student Government's accessibility by making it easier than ever to share your thoughts--in person or online--with us, and by opening up the office to ensure there's more transparency than ever before.
At the heart of what brings our whole team together, though, isn't so much a set of goals as it is a shared hope--the hope that we could prove students care not only about issues of convenience, but also issues of consequence.
This new website is the latest way we're working to do exactly that.
Students across campus are coming together to write a new chapter in Notre Dame history by answering Father Jenkins’ challenge to “build a Notre Dame that is bigger and better than ever," and this site will serve as an online headquarters for getting the latest information on our progress in partnering to advance the project.
We hope you enjoy your visit to this virtual office, and that you'll come by to check out the real thing in 203 LaFun. After all, it belongs to you.
See you there,
Pat and Brett
