About Us

History of the Club

Irish Fighting for Saint Jude Kids was founded on the campus of Notre Dame in the spring of 2003 after spending most of a year as a charity event sponsored by Pasquerilla East. The club is part of a larger national movement called Up 'til Dawn, which is a collegiate fundraising division for Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital. Our purpose at Notre Dame is twofold: to raise money for the hospital and also to increase awareness of the dangers of childhood disease and methods for treatment.

Currently, our club consists af about 75 active members, with an Executive Board that oversees the club and plans all of the events each year. Club membership is open to any student, staff, or faculty member at the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College, or Holy Cross College. Our club raises money and hosts a variety of events each year and holds a Finale Event each spring to honor the work of our volunteers.
