Professor James Phillips (Univ. of Illinois-Chicago) led a tour to several hominid sites in the Carmel Mountain region of Israel.  These included the excavations at Kefar HaHoresh (Neolithic site under the direction of Dr. Nigel Goren - Hebrew University), El Wad, Tabun, and Skhul caves.  Students received an appreciation for the temporal depth of the region, as well as an important overview of the changing topography of the area.  Click on highlighted images below for enlarged versions of select pictures.
