2000 Summer Field School in Jerusalem

Students conducted individual research projects reconstructing dietary practice for the large St. Stephen's Byzantine monastic collection.  They also visited numerous archaeological sites in the region, and became familiar with pertinent textual & cultural resources through the use of numerous Institute libraries, visits to Eastern Orthodox liturgies, and an active speakers series.
