is Notre Dame's newest club in Army ROTC established just 3 years ago. The club focuses on teaching its members how to refine basic marksmanship skills and rifling. Since the start of the club members have traveled to various schools to complete in shoulder to shoulder matches as well as participate in postal matches. Currently the team is comprised of 10 active members and the team is steadily becoming bigger with addition of each incoming military science class.
Why should I become a member?
Though the primary rifle for the team is not an M16 the fundamentals and skills gained from the team with ultimately make you a better shot because all principles learned and taught apply to all rifles. It is also very important that all those who decide to handle rifles be proficient in not only the understanding of how to shoot but also how the rifle works. Right now there are three club officers, one junior and two sophmores. The c/OIC (sophmore) this year is Cadet Garcia and is assisted by c/NCOIC Saure and c/ANCOIC Iacovo. To be a member on the team you must be enrolled in a military science class and have paid the yearly dues.
