Prva Design Group is currently working on a proof-of-concept Phase 1 Grant from the Department of Defense. The DOD has developed new technologies which interact to create a large scale mine detection system for battlefield deployment.
Using a previously developed aerial system, mine "hot-spots" are detected and divided into 20 foot by 20 foot square sections. After detection of probable mine locations, a ground detector must verify an active mine, or deny its location. Using the combination of these two systems, 20 foot wide "roadways" can be cleared through a minefield.
