Benchmarking Working Group
Minutes of March 17, 1997 Meeting
The following is a summary of the topics and issues of the second group meeting:
Departments discussed their benchmarking efforts
Facilities Operations
- Extensive review with 14 departments involved
- Each will review mission statement
- Identifying process of each department to meet goals, concentrate on one of these
- Contacts and visits by end of March
Facilities Engineering
- RFQ for consultant to review Power Plant operations
- Some comparative data no longer available
- EPA may have some benchmarking information
Administrative Services
- Morris Inn to review room make-over this year, perhaps restaurant also
- Laundry looking for comparative data
- Telecommunications is using NACUBO survey for their review
- Purchasing is involved in meetings to review current processes
- Cemetery making some progress in research
Next meeting: review progress and discuss formats
The next meeting of the group will be on April 22, 1997 at 2:00 p.m.
