Ramblers participate in the 2009 Day of Man, raising money for the South Bend Homeless Shelter
Frosh-O and Move-In
Freshmen are permitted to move into their rooms the Friday before classes begin in the fall. Upperclassmen will be on campus to help freshmen get settled and to lead them through various events before classes start the next Tuesday.
Dorm Masses
The Siegfried community comes together in our very own chapel every Sunday night at 10 PM to celebrate the Eucharist. Daily Mass is also said Monday through Thursday at 10 PM.
Hall Council Meetings
Anyone interested in helping the dorm or finding out what is planned for the upcoming week needs only to show up at Hall Council Meetings every Tuesday in the Chapel Lounge starting at 10:30 PM. Free pizza will be served!
Football Pep Rallies
Before every home football game, the Notre Dame student body gathers for a 6 PM Pep Rally in the Joyce Center (JACC). Students and team members gather to hear guest speakers and maybe catch a glimpse of Jon Bon Jovi.
Winter Formal at the Warren Clubhouse
The only dance held at the Warren, Siegfried's Winter Formal is usually held during the first weekend in December. Dance tickets generally cost $10 and include transportation to and from the Clubhouse.
Texas BBQ
Hall staff cooks up sandwiches for all the students as they begin their fall exam week. This group meal is generally held the Monday night of fall exams in December.
Day of Man
Early in the spring semester, the men of Siegfried don their shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops to brave the arctic conditions of winter on campus to raise money for the South Bend Homeless Shelter. We have raised as much as $8000 in years past walking from class to class in our skimpy attires.
Late Night Olympics
One Saturday in February students stay up late to play games and win everlasting glory in the Rec-Sports Late Night Olympics. We team up with our sister dorm to compete.
Spring Formal
Siegfried's second and final dance of the year takes place in early spring with tickets usually costing $10. The dance is held on campus.
Rambler Scrambler
Our annual signature event takes place in the spring and has featured a putt-putt course designed by dorm. This year the event includes a long drive competition.
Rambler Retreat
Our annual retreat usually takes place in mid-March, featuring a Friday night through Sunday morning spiritual and bonding experience.
Hall Senator Elections
The dorm elects one member to serve as Hall Senator late each February.
Hall Council Elections
The dorm elects a president and vice-president to serve the dorm late each March.
Room Picks
For returning students wishing to continue their stays in Siegfried, room picks take place in late March.
