| DIRECTIONS (from
ND Classroom Building): Take a National Express bus
from the Victoria Coach Station to Hythe (approximately 2 hours).
Hythe is a very small town, simply ask for directions to the bone crypt.
The crypt is rather small, it takes about 30 minutes to see the crypt,
look at assorted pathologies, and take pictures. St. Leonard's Parish
Church is located on a very steep hill, numerous signs will direct you
to the church along a historic tour path. You can also visit
the Royal Military Canal in Hythe, built to defend the town from Napolean's
forces. The London Visitors Center on Lower Regent's St. can provide
a map of Hythe.
You can also take the train
from Charing Cross train station to Folkstone, then catch the #10(A) bus
to Hythe. This is a slightly faster way to get to the church, but
requires coordination with a bus schedule, and is considerably more expensive. |
