| DIRECTIONS
(from Classroom Building): Take
the train from London's Charing Cross train station to Orpington Rail Station
(~30 minutes). At the Orpington Station, catch the R8 bus.
The bus will pass Down House, but you must ask the driver specifically
to make this stop. The R* bus runs every hour.
To catch the return bus, you will have to flag down the R8 as it
passes, since this is a rural route (quite easy to do; just check
with the driver regarding approximate return times).
If you're going as a group,
consider calling Down House at least one week in advance to ask for an
Educational Discount. Students will gain entry at a substantially
reduced rate, and a packet of information will be sent in advance of the
