SciFinder Scholar is the search interface to Chemical Abstracts and MEDLINE.

Chemical Abstracts provides access to the scientific literature in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, materials sciences, astronomy, geology, and physics back to 1907 and includes records from 9,500 journals, patents from 50 countries, dissertations, preprints, conference proceedings, and technical reports.

MEDLINE provides access to the scientific literature in medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and public health back to 1950 and includes records from 5,000 journals.

In this seminar you will learn how to build or draw chemical structures and search for those structures as structures or as part of reactions. Moreover, you will become familiar with some lesser known features such as searching by functional groups or preventing substitution. This seminar WILL NOT cover the bibliographic component of SciFinder Scholar.

All interested persons are cordially invited to attend.
