Monday, November 5, 2007   5:05 p.m.   NSH 184

CrossFire is the search interface Beilstein and Gmelin. Beilstein and Gmelin provide access to property data and chemical reactions described in the chemical literature back to the 1770s. Reaction searches, structure searches, and fact searches are the main way to search the databases.

In this seminar you will learn how to build or draw chemical structures and search for those structures as structures or as part of reactions. Moreover, you will become familiar with some lesser known features such as preventing substitution or modifying search results with property data.

All interested persons are cordially invited to attend.
