⁷Be-induced alpha transfer reactions

Helium burning in stars via alpha capture and the general issue of alpha-particle clustering in nuclei remain of continued interest in nuclear physics.  Recently, we measured angular distributions for the ¹²C(⁷Be,³He)¹⁶O reaction at 34 MeV.  At this energy, this reaction selectively populates known alpha-clustering levels in ¹⁶O.  The experimental results will be presented.
