The main goal of experimentally based particle physics in the present era is to understand the mechanism that generates the electron mass, which will also answer to the question: why are the weak forces weak? We show how this question intertwines with symmetry, and how mass is always associated with symmetry breaking.

All interested persons are cordially invited to attend.
