The Universe at Z > 37: The Origin of the Neutron-Capture Elements

The overall picture of the formation of elements heavier than helium in stellar interiors has been well-established for many decades. We are still, however, working on the details, particularly for the heavy elements (Z>37) made by neutron-capture. I will review our current understanding of n-capture in stellar interiors and stellar explosions and discuss exciting new observations which lead to a more complete picture of the r-process and the s-process in stars.

All interested persons are cordially invited to attend.
