Principal academic interests:
· ecological models and dynamics – involving the construction and analysis of mathematical models of food webs and ecosystems, and the application of methods of nonlinear mechanics and computer simulations to elucidate their dynamic and steady-state properties. A recent product of this work is an electronic book, scheduled for publication as a CD with a print supplement by Garland Science, Taylor and Francis Group, in late 2008 or early 2009.
·
environmental systems – particularly the development of instructional
modules based on mathematical models and simulations. Click on the following link for more
information about one of the modules – Earth's Carbon Cycle.
