Pre-Award Workshop for New Faculty
This will provide new faculty with information on the internal processes at Notre Dame related to Research including budgeting, and the proposal routing process.  Assistance with using services like Community of Science for funding opportunity searches will also be covered.  Compliance is a complex and ever growing area of importance.  Topics under compliance such as, conflict of interest will be covered in this session.  In addition, faculty will receive information on the technology transfer services provided by the Office of Research.

Funding Opportunities
Locating funding opportunities is easier today than ever with several searchable electronic databases available to researchers. The Community of Science (COS), the Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS) and Grants.gov are accessible through the Notre Dame network. The Office of Research provides assistance in using these databases to perform custom searches, set up funding alerts, and manage expertise profiles. The use of these databases will be covered in this hands-on workshop.
