Need to Know When Your Next Project Report Is Due?
To review your project reporting due dates go to https://www.fastlane.nsf.gov, select "Proposals, Awards and Status", and log in. Next, click "Award and Reporting Functions", select "Project Reports System", and a list of your awards will display. Click on an Award Number and the system will display the project reporting due dates for that award.
How Should You Protect Your Intellectual Property?
On Monday, January 29, 2007 John J. Calvert, Administrator, Inventors Assistance Center, United States Patent and Trademark Office will be at the University of Notre Dame. Everyone is invited to attend.
"Our founding fathers included a simple clause regarding intellectual property protection in the Constitution. Today protection of intellectual property (IP) is one of the hottest issues facing business, inventors and engineers. How should you protect your IP? Is a patent the best way to go? What about the value of a trademark? Are copyrights a viable alternative? How can I best use trade secrets? Learn some of the pros and cons about each type of IP so you can make an informed decision in the future."

NIH Salary Cap for FY2007
The final bill funding NIH for FY 2007 retains the reimbursement salary cap for NIH at the Executive Level I. The Office of Personnel Management announced that for 2007, the Executive Level I salary level would rise to $186,600. The 2007 Office of Personnel Management tables are at http://www.opm.gov/oca/07tables/index.asp.
