RETHINKING MARXISM

Artists’ Guidelines For Electronic Submissions

Upon acceptance, artists should discuss the length, deadline, and any technical requirements for their work with the arts editor, Susan Jahoda, prior to submitting the final version.

RETHINKING MARXISM publishes only in black and white, has minimum margins of 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches, and uses a 150 line screen. Electronic submissions should be prepared as follows.

Hard Copy

Please send four hard copies of the following material to Susan Jahoda; Department of Art; University of Massachusetts; Amherst, MA 01003.

  1. Print-out showing desired layout. The pages (including white pages) should be numbered consecutively, in pencil, in the upper righthand corner. The top of the image (whether vertical or horizontal) should be indicated separately whenever there might be room for uncertainty.
  2. A cover letter, detailing any instructions for printing the work that might otherwise not be obvious.
  3. A title sheet giving the artists’ names, addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses.
  4. A brief biographical statement on each artist for publication in the contributor notes.

Disk

On a date that will be provided to you by the managing editor, please send your disk to: Journals Production Editor; Guilford Publications; 72 Spring Street; New York, NY 10012.

  1. Please send a copy rather than your original disk.
  2. Indicate on the disk your name, the title of the work, and the software and version you have used.

Permission Form

If any portion of your work has previously been published elsewhere, you may obtain a permission to reprint form from Guilford’s journals production editor (at 212/431-9800, x256; or 800/365-7016, x256, within the United States). For copyright reasons, completion of this form is necessary for publication.
