2011 QuarkNet Summer Research at Notre Dame

Summer Research is the cornerstone of the Notre Dame QuarkNet program. This past summer, 15 teachers, 14 students, 9 mentors, and a graduate student worked on 9 different projects, including investigations into new scintillators, presentation of particle physics in the Notre Dame Digital Visual Theater (DVT), investigations using the CMS e-Lab, and cosmic ray studies. They were joined by 4 teachers, a staff member, 4 mentors, and 4 graduate students from the Notre Dame extended Research Community (NDeRC).
