For students in engineering. A second course in differential equations. Topics include higher order linear equations, numerical methods, Laplace transforms, linear systems, non-linear systems and stability, and an introduction to partial differential equations and Fourier series.

Freshman-level Course: Elements of Calculus, II - Business

Prerequisite: MATH 10250 (Elements of Calculus, I) or the equivalent
For students in business. An introduction to mathematical concepts, techniques, and ideas that are useful in understanding and solving problems that arise in economics and business. Topics include integration, differential equations, Taylor polynomial approximations, unconstrained and constrained optimization for functions of several variables, probability and statistics, with interesting real-life applications throughout.
