12/3/07 Holiday schedule for Procurement Services, Central Receiving and NDSurplus

Please note the following when planning your year-end purchases to ensure the smooth completion of your request:

Procurement Services

• Monday, December 17th – Requisitions requiring processing prior to break must be received by noon. Some requisitions requiring special legal or sourcing assistance may not be processed until after break. If your requisition requires special processing prior to break, kindly call this to our attention as soon as the need is identified.

Central Receiving

Holiday Hours

• Friday, December 21st – Receiving dock closes at 11:00 a.m.
• Monday, December 24th through Monday, January 1st - Closed
• Tuesday, January 2nd – Reopen for shipping and receiving at 7:30 a.m.

Package Delivery before Holidays

Due to the many festivities that happen on campus during this season of the year, operating schedules may be adjusted. If your department will be adjusting hours, please notify Central Receiving by phone at 1-7026 or email receive@nd.edu by December 14th. Your input will allow us to efficiently restructure delivery routes to accommodate any schedule adjustments. Thank you for your assistance in helping us to serve you.

Out-Bound Shipments

Any packages needing to be shipped before the Christmas holiday must arrive at Central Receiving no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21st. For package pick-up on December 21st you must contact Central Receiving at
631-7026 before 10:00 a.m. After 10:00 a.m. out-going packages will need to be brought to the Central Receiving counter before 2:00 p.m. to ensure they are processed before the carrier arrives.

In-Bound Shipments

Central Receiving anticipates the receipt of approximately 700-1,000 packages during the holiday break. We will be processing and delivering this unusually large volume of packages as rapidly as possible, starting January 2nd. If you are expecting a package and have not received it by January 4th, feel free to call the Central Receiving office (1-7026) with the tracking number and we will assist you in trying to locate the package. NDSurplus

Holiday Schedule

• Wednesday, December 19th - Last departmental shopping day before Christmas (11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
• Thursday, December 20th – Last personal purchase shopping day before Christmas (11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
• Wednesday, January 2nd - NDSurplus reopens at 11:30 a.m.
