10/19/07 Furniture contracts signed

Effective July 1, 2007, after a competitive bid, the University awarded furniture contracts to two dealers and four manufacturers. As before, the manufacturers are represented by the dealers who provide installation and set up – Business Furnishings for Steelcase and Office Furniture by Styline (OFS); and Office Interiors for National and HON furniture. The final selection of the suppliers was made by a committee that included members from the Office of University Architect and Facilities Operations. Tom Rogers, from Procurement Services, facilitated the bid process and collaborated with the committee members who identified the growing needs of the campus and the detailed furniture specifications.

The chart below explains the type of furniture provided by each manufaturer.
