The AAMC has developed an wonderfully in-depth and informative site called MD-squared (Monetary Decisions for Medical Doctors). This site walks through the maze of financing a medical educaiton, from pre-med to medical school to residency and the early practice years. There are sections also on the actual cost of applying to medical school (regarding the fees, interviewing, MCAT preparation, and the difference between public and private schools), situations upon arriving to medical school (regarding the cost of living, living with debt, sources of funding, and advising), and managing a slight income during residency.FAFSA Express: copies available in SCPP and ALPP offices
