PHYSICAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
FOR VARSITY ATHLETES
2009 - 2010

1.  Physical Education is a University requirement for graduation.

2.  All students must enroll for two- (2) semesters of Physical Education.

3.  Varsity Athletes are required to complete the following:

*  Officially enroll in two (2) semesters

• Take swim test - the University feels all students should be able to protect themselves in the water - failing the swim test will require the student to take beginning swimming.
• All student athletes will take the course "Contemporary Topics for College Students".  This course is two (2) units and athletes will register for the course at the computer cluster in the Coleman-Morse Center.  

4.  Should athletes pass the swim test and complete two units of Contemporary first semester - he/she must enroll in the second semester of Physical Education.  This is essential so that the student athlete gets credit for two required semesters of Physical Education.

NOTE:

1.  Trying out does not constitute being on the official team roster.  Do not assume you will make the varsity team.  Attend class until your coach sends the information to the P.E. office, in addition to informing you that you are a team member.

2.  Should you discontinue varsity participation, you must report immediately to the Physical Education Office for class assignment.
