Learn the basics of successfully coaching
young athletes. This course will help give a foundation
for the value of healthy athletic competition. The successful
coach assists athletes in learning new skills, enjoy
competition and feel good about themselves in a safe
and healthy environment. The student will begin
to develop a coaching philosophy, understand physical-social-psychological
issues, and learn about team organization and game preparation.
This course does not cover sport specific techniques
and tactics. |
Please note!
As with the other special programs, this is open to all
students registered in Physical Education. It will take
place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:50 pm during Unit
6 (which begins on Apil 3). It will be taught in room 110
of the Rockne Memorial. The C.R.N. to be used for registering
is 27129
