Upon your arrival to campus, you may be interested in creating a unique configuration of University furniture
GENERAL GUIDELINES
- All furniture provided in your room must stay in your room.
- Furniture may not be exchanged for different models (i.e. you cannot ask to change your modular furniture for metal bunk beds).
- Upon move-out, you are required to return your room to its original configuration, including the appropriate furniture in its assigned room (and de-bunking your modular furniture).
- Furniture from hall lounges and common spaces (couches, tables, etc.) may not be used in your room.
ROOMS WITH METAL BUNK BEDS
If your room has metal bunk beds and you are interested
in creating an elevated bed structure, please refer to our Elevated
Bed Information page.
ROOMS WITH MODULAR FURNITURE
Many rooms on campus are equipped with modular furniture systems (MFS). Rooms with MFS are not permitted to have elevated bed structures constructed. MFS has been designed to provide a different arrangements based on the preference of the residents (click here for details).
The following pictures provide examples of UNACCEPTABLE
MFS configurations. By improperly arranging your MFS, you could
be placing yourself in a dangerous situation.
