Sr. Chris Connolly brings a wealth of pastoral experience to her role as rector. For the past nine years she has served as the Spiritual Director at the Claret Center in Chicago, conducting retreats for college students, seminarians and young adults, while during the past two years she has concurrently served as Spiritual Director at the Loyola University Institute for Pastoral Studies. She served the St. Catharine Dominican Sisters in Kentucky as the Promoter of Vocations for four years, focusing on program development and implementation, while also companioning women through the discernment process. Other programs in which she has held positions include Catholic Charities in Louisville, Hospice of Louisville and service to St. Catharine Dominican Sisters in a wide range of administrative duties. She received her B.A. in history and education in 1972 from Cardinal Cushing College and spent the next eight years as a primary teacher. In 1989 she received her M.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College, followed by her M.A. in Pastoral Studies from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago in 2001. |
