HALL HISTORY
Constructed in 1965; Julia Lewis provided funding for the construction, and the building was dedicated in honor of her husband, Frank Lewis, a Chicago philanthropist; Served as a residence for Sisters pursuing graduate degrees before the University admitted women; Notable past residents include Anne Thompson '79 (NBC news reporter). With just under 300 residents, Lewis is the largest women's residence hall on campus.

 

ROOM INFORMATION
A vast majority of the rooms in Lewis Hall are doubles (90%). The four single rooms are occupied by seniors. There are also three triples. There are no private bathrooms in Lewis Hall.

RECTOR: MS. LINDA CIRILLO
 

Linda Cirillo brings a wealth of professional and pastoral experience to her role as rector. She served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a logistics manager and inspector at various locations throughout the United States, including three tours at the Pentagon. Linda also served a tour in South Korea and traveled throughout the Far East and Europe. She retired from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1994. Since 1996, Linda has worked as a Catholic Chaplain in various pastoral settings, serving most recently in Campus Ministry at Georgetown University, where she lived in a residence hall community with over 300 students. Linda holds two Master’s degrees–an M.A. in Spiritual and Pastoral Care from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD, and an M.A. in Human Resource Development from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.–as well as a B.A. in Speech Communications from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. After receiving a graduate certificate in Theological Studies in 2004, Linda became certified as a Catholic Chaplain in 2005.
