RECTOR: Rev.Daniel Nolan CSV

Fr. Dan Nolan, C.S.V., comes to the University from the Clerics of Saint Viator, Province of Chicago, IL.  The charism of the Viatorians is proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, particularly among the young and abandoned in today’s world, and to working in favor of peace and social justice.  Fr. Dan brings fifteen years of experience working as an educator with high school students to his new role as rector of Keenan Hall.  As Director of Vocations and Formation in the Viatorian Community, he helped college-age students to discern their vocations.  For two years, he served as an in-residence mentor to novices and seminarians in his religious community.  During his years as a parish priest, he was actively involved with several youth ministry programs and young adult organizations.

Fr. Dan matriculated at the University of Nevada—Las Vegas where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education in 1972.  After completing the novitiate in Chicago, he professed first vows in 1973. He taught for six years before going on to receive his Master of Divinity degree from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago in 1983.  Fr. Dan was ordained a priest in April of 1983 at his home parish in Las Vegas, NV.
