HISTORY Constructed in 1952 as housing for 156 seniors (with mostly single rooms); Dedicated by Sally Fisher to her husband, Fred Fisher, former member of the Board of Trustees; At the time of construction, Fisher was the 2nd residence hall to have a social lounge; Notable past residents include Joe Montana '79 (pro football), LaPhonso Ellis '92 (pro basketball), Orlando Woolridge '81 (pro basketball), and Regis Philbin '53 (entertainer); Summer 2001 renovations included new social space and a new chapel. |

INFORMATION A majority of the rooms are either singles (40% of rooms) or doubles (50% of rooms). About 10% of the rooms are 4-man suites. There are a handful of private bathrooms in Fisher Hall. |

| Rev. Robert Moss, rector of Fisher Hall since 1999, earned his B.A. from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids. He received a M.A. in European Studies, as well as a Master of Theology degree from the University of Notre Dame. He has an M.Ed. from Loyola University of Chicago and holds a certification in Guidance as well. Ordained a Holy Cross priest in 1974, Father Rob then spent seventeen years as a teacher, counselor, and administrator at Notre Dame High School for Boys in Niles, Illinois. For six years he directed Old College, a program on campus for under graduate seminarians. Since 1991, Father Rob has also worked in Undergraduate Admissions. | |
