The Application Process

Applicants to the Washington Program should follow the directions for and complete the entire Office of International Studies’ online application form at:

http://www.nd.edu/~ois/Apply/Apply_Instructions.html. 

Keep in mind that questions addressing “studying abroad” should be answered with consideration of Washington, DC, as the “study abroad” location.

In the Statement of Objectives on the Office of International Studies application, students should include responses to the following:

1. Describe one or two specific internships you think you would like to pursue as part of the Washington Program. 
2. Describe any research interests you have that are relevant to your participation in the Washington Program.
3. Please state work or other experience you have had, if any, which you think has provided you with background for a Washington internship.  (not required to apply)
